Image Montaging, also known as image stitching and image mapping, allows you to capture a series of overlapping adjacent images of a specimen and then it creates a single large, high resolution view of the entire scanned area.

There are numerous variants of this software, some control motorised stages and focus systems whilst controlling a camera to capture at each point.  Some achieve the capture and stictching in real-time whilst the specimens are moving.
