Square Microscope slide Cover Glasses for use with Microscope Slides, 01.7mm Thinckness – 18mm square.  Slide Cover glasses (also known as cover slips) are placed on top of a specimen to flatten it so it is easier to observe at high magnifications.  Most biological objectives are corrected to observe specimens through a cover glass of thickness 0.17mm, the refraction due to glass of this thickness is expected.
