Description
The new ‘go-to’ versatile workhorse for every laboratory – introducing the GX Microscopes UltraZOOM-2+ Stereo Microscope.
Designed for versatility and robustness, the UltraZOOM-2+ Stereo Zoom Microscope is most at home in a busy laboratory or teaching environment, being used daily for routine inspection and sorting tasks or for student use.
The GX Microscopes UltraZOOM-2+ Stereo Microscope’s wide 0.7x – 4.5x zoom range combined with built-in illumination and an expansive selection of accessories make it ideal for general laboratory use as a multi-purpose instrument. Its stand design makes it particularly suitable for viewing low contrast specimens such as C. elegans and embryos, including zebrafish embryos. Featuring a trinocular head with c-mount camera adapter, a microscope camera can easily be attached for documentation and image analysis.
- 0.7x – 4.5x zoom
- 7x – 45x magnification, expandable further with optional accessories
- Widefield eyepieces (20mm)
- Visual field of view: 4.5mm – 28.5mm
- 88mm working distance
- Trinocular head with 0.5x c-mount adapter included for easy attachment of a microscope camera
- Coarse focus controls
- Pillar stand
- Built-in reflected (top) and transmitted (base) LED illumination
- Wide base 260 x 290mm
- Selection of stage plates included: frosted glass stage plate, plastic opaque stage plate and black & white plastic stage plate
Suitable for a wide range of applications
In addition to the UltraZOOM-2+’s versatile and robust standard setup, the microscope body can also be removed from the stand and positioned on a wide variety of other microscope stands. This includes a selection of boom stands and articulated arm stands, typically used where a larger working area is required for viewing larger samples, or where bench space is limited so the microscope needs to be able to swing in and out of position.
Ideal for university teaching laboratories
With its simple, non-fussy design, there are fewer parts for students to fiddle with, making the setup of the microscopes each day a pain-free exercise for teaching technicians! We also have options for digital classroom setups, including WiFi connection to phones/tablets.
Great for viewing low contrast specimens
The microscope’s stand design makes it particularly suitable for viewing low contrast specimens such as C. elegans and embryos, including zebrafish embryos.
LED illumination
The GX Microscopes UltraZOOM-2+ Stereo Microscope features built-in transmitted (base) and reflected (top light) LED illumination to suit the user’s preference/application. LED provides an energy-efficient alternative to halogen and its long life removes the need to change bulbs frequently. LED is also a cold light source, therefore eliminating any unintentional heating of the sample.
Camera attachment/image analysis
With a trinocular head included as standard, a microscope camera can easily be added to this stereo microscope for documentation and image analysis. We have options for documentation, research level image analysis and teaching applications (including digital classroom setups and WiFi connection to your phone/tablet).
