NexiusZoom EVO Polarising Stereo Microscope

The NexiusZoom EVO polarising stereo microscope is designed for samples that react to polarised light. These include-

 ·       Minerals, crystals, gemstones, and petrographic samples

·       Polymers, plastics, and synthetic materials

·       Thin films, coatings, or layered materials

·       Fibers, textiles, and biological tissues

·       Stress analysis / residual stress in transparent/semiconducting materials

·       Forensic and material failure analysis

·       Optical components / lenses / optical plastics

·       Geology / paleontology / thin sections

Many of these types of samples are birefringent, and under polarized light they show characteristic interference colours, extinction between crossed polarizers, or variation in brightness upon rotation.

In some samples, polarized light can reveal stress lines, internal flaws, or strain patterns.

The NexiusZoom EVO has a magnification range of 6.5x to 55x with the standard eyepieces and objective. This can be extended with extra accessories. This microscope has a good working range of 110mm, so can comfortably allow for access to the sample. Also, it is available with a binocular or trinocular head- the latter making it easy to attach a microscope camera for documenting samples.

Shipping is by courier and takes typically 2-5 days but this can alter.
