This class of software overcomes the problem of the limited depth of focus of magnifying optics. It allows you to capture images at different focus points and then automatically analyses the ‘z-stack’ of images to produce one image that is a composite of all the focused regions it has found in each image. This image is crisp and fully in focus. GT Vision staff have a great deal of expertise in this application and can also offer hardware, under the control of the software, that will orchestrate the focussing and capturing of the images.
