Dome illuminator. Supplies a gentle diffuse illumination to the sample. Ideal for shiny specimens or for those with a high contrast surface. Excellent for entomological samples.
Will fit onto most common stereo microscopes with an objective up to 60mm diameter.
The diffused light significantly reduces reflections/glare, enabling the user to view more detail on the specimen. They are not suitable if sample manipulation is required as the dome significantly reduces the working distance.
