The SMZ18 stereo microscope is revolutionizing stereomicroscopy with its unique zoom range, along with modularity, comfort and ultra-high-performance optics. These new SMZ stereo microscopes cover a wide range of functionality, from basic stereoscopic images of unparalled quality to the most sophisticated observation. An innovative optical system known as Perfect Zoom Optics.
High zoom range and high resolution
The SMZ18 has an 18:1 zoom range, giving a magification range of 7.5x- 135x with the standard 10x eyepieces and 1x objective. This can be expanded to 3.75-270X with additional components.
This means that the microscope can provide macro observations and then the user can zoom in to see micro structures.
Superior resolution never before seen on a stereomicroscope
Nikon's newly developed objective lens series, the SHR Plan Apo series, offers a high resolution of 1100LP/mm (Observed value, using SHR Plan Apo 2x at maximum zoom). The new SHR Plan Apo series of lenses deliver brilliant images with true-to-life colours.
