Inverted Microscopes are used for observing materials, cells and organisms in culture and in the bottom of flasks, petri dishes, microtitre plates and tubes. They are usually equipped with brightfield and phase contrast capabilities so that unstained transparent tissue can be observed more clearly. Typically they are equipped with a selection from 4X, 10x, 20x, 40X and 60X objectives providing a magnification range from 40X to 600X.
